Hillside Foursquare Church exists to help people find, understand, & follow God’s plan for their lives. We meet in a building located on a hillside overlooking Reno – & the other 6 days a week are the “Monday Morning Church,” called to ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do if He were walking in my shoes?” Then, we intentionally live out our faith in Christ in the context of our daily lives in the “real world.” A Bible verse that helps illustrate what we’re here on the planet for:
Matthew 5:14,16 – “You are the light of the world. A city on a hillside cannot be hidden…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Our pastors, Louie & Joni Locke, have been at Hillside since January 2000.
Our Sunday morning gatherings begin at 10:30 a.m., & start with worship & corporate communion CONNECTION TIME – we take 10 or so minutes to connect with the people around us, grab a cup of coffee, & a pastry. H4KIDS (Nursery through 5th Grade, & H4Y (Hillside Foursquare Youth – Middle School through High School) are released to their age appropriate classes after worship. The Speech – rooted in the Bible Response/Prayer/Hang out – after the speech, you’re invited to hang out & spend some time over some free snacks (nachos, etc.).
Expect Connections… Hillside has great music, a friendly atmosphere, good smells, and lots of coffee. We want to create an environment making it simple and easy to have an encounter with God through Jesus Christ.
Bottom Line: we believe that living the life of a Christ follower is a fulfilling, challenging, and FUN way to live life. The best part is that we get to live this life in the context of committed connected relationships with others that are on the same journey as we are.

We believe that God has called us to work together in all we do to fulfill His purposes in our lives & church family. This means we look to actively work with others in the tasks we do & in the roles we serve in within Hillside Teamwork allows us to coordinate our efforts to build relationship, encourage each other, & to maximize effectiveness. We believe that the next generation is a gift from God – & that it’s our responsibility to teach them to be fully devoted followers of Christ. Therefore, we choose to: Place a high priority on reaching kids, youth, & students intentionally, creatively, & strategically Freely give our time, energy, & resources to do so. We believe that God has created each one of us as a masterpiece. His creative genius is at work in our lives & is reflected in the way we live & express Him: In music, art, & other creative expressions. In how we live & interact with others. We believe that God has created us to be missional in how we live: to be living as “the Church on Monday,” intentionally engage our community with the love, acceptance, & forgiveness characteristic of Jesus Christ. The Good News deserves to be lived out – not just presented – simply & faithfully.
